Ouch. The Burlington Bayhawks men fell 4–0 to Oakville in the Burloak derby, with three second-half goals sealing their fate. They close out the regular season against Simcoe County in Barrie on Saturday, August 22, with an outside shot at leapfrogging North Toronto in the standings.

The rivalry matchup Burlington's men had been building toward all week turned into a tough afternoon, as Oakville handed the Bayhawks a 4–0 defeat in the Burloak derby. Oakville drew first blood in the 33rd minute through former St. John's University captain Brandon Duarte. Burlington had hoped to catch their rivals at less than full strength — Oakville came in with suspensions and a rough recent run of results — but the home side had other ideas. The second half is where things unravelled. Blake Davis beat keeper Ethan Cagalj in the 57th minute, then Leart Nura added a third just two minutes later. Duarte capped off his brace three minutes after that, putting the final nail in Burlington's coffin with the fourth goal. Head Coach Joao Oliveira didn't mince words after the whistle.
