If you were planning a late-summer dip at Beachway Park Beach, hold off for now. Halton Region's beach monitoring program has flagged unsafe E. coli levels at Burlington's Beachway Park Beach, located at 1094 Lakeshore Rd., and a no-swim advisory is currently in effect. The good news: Brant Street Beach is still in the clear, based on testing completed on August 19. So if you need your lake fix, that's your best bet right now. Over in Oakville, two beaches are also off-limits — Bronte Park Beach at 45 West River St. and South Shell Park Beach at 3376 Lakeshore Rd. W. The rest of Oakville's beaches, including Coronation Park (east and west) and Lakeside Park Beach, have all tested safe. Halton Region monitors beaches regularly throughout the swimming season. For the latest test results before you head out, check Halton Region's Public Health Inspection Results page at halton.ca.
